Old House in Autauga County

    This was a very interesting house to investigate. It used to be a convalescent home a long time ago and then became a residence. It is no longer lived in now, and hasn't been for at least 20 years when it was moved from its original location. The owners were told stories, from people who had previously lived there, about cords from light switches swinging on their own when there was no breeze from anywhere and of a rocking chair rocking by itself. The owners themselves have heard voices inside the house along with having a very eerie feeling.

    We began the investigation about 8:30 pm with 7 members, but shortly after we bagan, one of our members had to leave due to a sick child at home. We set a doll in one of the rooms and left a video camera focused on the doll. A member who had been to the house before to check things out, detected the presence of a woman and a little girl, this being the reason for the doll. They could sense that the woman was very protective of the child and did not want her to interact with us. We collected a few evp's, two of which is a woman saying very loudly "no" and another with the woman saying " lies". During this time we got a few picture with some orbs in it, a video camera light turning off by itself, a brand new video tape with 120 minutes on it running out after about 45 minutes and batteries dying. There was also three members of the group that heard a small child saying "hi" which was caught on evp. After a while we decided that maybe it would be better if we went outside and tried investigating in teams of two since the house was so small.  Apparently this was a good decision because the activity then began to pick up. There were tugs on members shirts, a very strong sense of someone following you, confirmed by pictures of orbs snapped from behind, and a flashlight battery being drained and then come back on on command. The activity with the flashlight was actually caught on video, which I plan on posting as soon as I can. We ended the investigation about 1:30 am even though no one was really ready to leave, but we had a feeling that we had worn out our welcome.

     We got some really good pictures, about 4 or 5 evp's and a very good video. Overall, I would say that with the evidence we have and the personal experiences we had, that this place is definately haunted. It is a place that we would love to back to investigate sometime.
