Bear Creek Swamp

    Bear Creek Swamp is an area in Autauga County, Al where strange thing have been said to happen. The stories say that you can see strange lights with your eyes and that they have been known to approach vehicles if they are stopped in the road. It has also been said that Civil War soldiers have been seen in this area.  We have been to this area twice and both times we have seen the lights, but we have yet to see any soldiers. The last time we went the swamp itself was completely dried up from the drought but I could hear something just off the side of the road splash several times. We really haven't gotten enough evidence from here to determine if it is haunted yet but we plan on going back at a later date.

A strange mist. There was no fog in the area.

This Picture was taken on our third visit to Bear Creek. You can see the mist just up the hill from where the picture was taken.

You can see a mist to the left of the picture right behind one of our investigator's head.

Looking at this picture and the last one, you can see that they were taken just a minute apart. The investigator has moved and the mist is no longer there.

Here, a mist is forming off to the right-hand side of the picture.

You can see this mist on Nathan and Blaine at the same time that the K-II meter that Blaine is holding was going off.
